Any issues with reselling recipes off the internet in a ebook?

I want to change the portion sizes & tweak the ingredients to resell in a ebook. Anyone know if there are legal issues with this?

Yes, copyright issues. Just because it’s on the internet doesn’t mean that you can take a recipe and resell it. Many original recipes are posted for personal use only, and are not meant to be taken, tweaked, and sold. Many other recipes are actually copyrighted, and are not really supposed to be published online at all.

Make up your own recipes, and you’ll be all right.

“Mere listings of ingredients as in recipes, formulas, compounds, or prescriptions are not subject to copyright protection. However, when a recipe or formula is accompanied by substantial literary expression in the form of an explanation or directions, or when there is a combination of recipes, as in a cookbook, there may be a basis for copyright protection.”
