Atheists, if there are new discoveries about the universe of being created, can that suppose to a creator?

If new discoveries are made that the universe is a creation, can you handle that is being proof of a creator?

Are you serious?

Let’s cross that bridge when we get to it.

I will accept whatever the evidence points to. As of right now, that is NOT a creator.

Sure, but there aren’t any such discoveries. People are just hoping for them, and meanwhile remaining willfully ignorant.

One step at a time, buddy. First, let’s find a cure to our defects.

More than theists can accept evidence to the contrary.

-A- creator does not mean it is the creator -you- worship.

When Ra apologies to me over what happened last Tuesday, I’ll consider it. He knows what he did.

I’m certainly open to looking at new evidence. You got any to offer? Or are you just spinning your wheels?

If there was proof of a creator, I would accept it.

but hun….who made the creator of the creator?

Gee whiz I dunno…why is it that even though Evolution is a proven fact you just cannot seem to accept that as proof that the bible is full of lies and fantasy?
Before you toss out the “Evolution is just a theory!” line…you need to understand that the theory part of evolution only concerns the how and the why part of evolution…not the proven existence of evolution.
You believe Gravity exists right? So how do you explain the term “the Theory of Gravity”? Gravity cannot exist if it is only a theory right???
You can answer my question on this subject…should be close to your question as I just asked it a few minutes ago.

It’s as if you simply put random words together and expected something rational to result. Epic failure.

Dear Albert, please do a grammatical review next time.
The universe was most likely created from the big bang, which was created from something else. Christians usually inquire evidence for the big bang’s origin, and cite lack thereof as it’s impossibility. Upon being asked likewise of god’s origin, they tend to respond “He has always been there.”
Well, in that response, us Atheists reply, “The originating single particle that became the big bang has always been there.”
And in response to the discovery of a new, previous state of things, we will respond, “It has always been there.”
You see, Albert, our beliefs both have the same problem, but only one of them is taking logical steps to solve it.

if there are discoveries made with evidence to back them up then i would change my views to the extent that those discoveries allow.
that is the fundamental difference between you and i my friend, can you say the same?
September 11th, 2009 at 8:05 am
Sure. However, so far there is none and quite a bit that shows the Bible to be quite inaccurate, thus the “creator” is not likely to be your god.
Can you handle a different god?
September 13th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Your faith is all “what ifs”. I’ll face the evidence when it becomes evident.
September 15th, 2009 at 1:07 pm
Well, one would like something that approaches irrefutable proof, OK?
September 18th, 2009 at 11:28 am
an i “handle2 it
uh, yeah
i think i can deal with that

If new discoveries were made that showed a fundamental flaw in Relativity or Quantum Mechanics that would permit a creator AND there was data to support such an implication then I would of course keep my mind open to the possibility. Given the state of knowledge and the data we have, I would say that such a conclusion is sufficiently foreclosed as to not be worth taking time to consider. As such, Creationists need to be praying that the Tevatron or the Large Hadron Collider find a serious anomoly in either theory that is also supportive of a creator.

Wow. Terribly worded question. I think you’re asking me if, should God’s existence suddenly become incontrovertible, would I accept it or continue to be an atheist. Do I have it right?
I would admit I was wrong and ask him why he provided zero evidence for his existence only to suddenly turn up. But I wouldn’t pretend he wasn’t real.
What would you do if equally authoritative evidence turned up proving there is no god?
Just curious.
