Why won’t my files convert?

Hello Everyone,
I purchased the Zune Ebook Creator by Roversoft.
I like the software alot.
I recently bought a new computer and whenever I try to use the software it won’t work on this new computer.
I contacted the publisher he tried to help, but could not resolve it.
I sent him a file, he converted and sent it back to me just fine
Whenever I try to convert the pdf to a jpeg file it says “incorrect pdf file”
I don’t know if it has something to do with the settings on my new computer or what.
Step-by-step: how can I create a pdf ebook?

I want the pdf ebook to allow users to search and copy text, plus have an outline. How can I do this? Step-by-step directions please. I’ll be scanning some of my books as image pdfs to have them with me on the go. Am I going to need OCR and an ebook software creator for this?

I want to learn music production including sound recording and editing, beat making, mixing sounds, using recording softwares to make music and my own songs and everything else. I also want to know how to set up a good home recording studio. I have FL studio recording software but I need to learn music production to use it properly and make better music. I have a MobiPocket ebook reader program, and have about 6 ebooks downloaded to that format. I would prefer to read them on a larger screen, via PDF. Is this possible to convert? Thanks!
