Is it possible to put an E-Book on my iPod Touch?

I bought an E-book and now i want to put it on my iPod touch. I have the newest one out, can i drag and drop or do i have to download a software. If so witch it the best and where from.

    You have to download an app to read books or jailbreak. I use Bookshelf
    it’s for PC and Mac , I hear that Stanza is very good if you have a Mac.
