Is there a difference between The kindle and different ebooks?

I’ve heard great things about the kindle. But its sold out and i would have to wait 5 months or something just to get it. There are other ebooks like the sony reader. Is there a big difference between the kindle and other ebooks. If not id get the sony reader

Not sure with the 5-month wait if it’s worth it, but if you compare Kindle even with Sony reader, Kindle is a different level man. Definitely better with its wireless capability and availability of thousands of eBooks you can download and hence at your disposal whenever and wherever you want.

Are you sure there is no where to buy it at all? I’m pretty sure some places online have it. There isn’t a huge difference, but I would still go with the Kindle (cause I love mine!)
