Are there any good e-book readers available in Canada?

I am 12 and was wondering if there was a good e-book reader usable in Canada that has a good selection.

Is it possible to use a E-book reader as a screen to write on real time in word, pdf, txt or anyother format?

I am a writer, and my eyes are tired of writing using a normal PC screen. E-book readers do not emite light, so they would be much better for my almost blinded eyes. I would really appreciate an answer.

Does anybody know what is the best free Ebook reader on the web for Java mobile phones?

I’m looking for book readers on the web but I only get those with such poor quality. Does anybody know what is the best free ebook reader available that supports Java enabled phones?

I’m looking for an e-book reader, where I can enlarge the text to something as large as 18/20. Any ideas? ?

I know nothing about e-book readers, and I can’t find this sort of information anywhere. If you own one, I’d like to know which brand and model you have and if it is capable of enlarging text and to what size.

Thanks

What is the best ocr software for creating ebooks?

Hi, I’m looking to change my paperbacks into e-books. I want to get an OCR program that is the most accurate in translating the text in a novel format and storing in a format that I can later change to be read by most e-book readers and in an audio format. Any suggestions on which OCR you believe will best accomplish this and what format I should save it as initially? Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this subject.
