Spore Creature Creator – can you import creatures made in this into the retail game when released?

Thinking of buying the creator pack, but will i b able to import any creatures i make using the pack, and play as those creatures in the retail game?
Is the Spore Creature Creator what is used during gameplay or is it like the Sims 2 bodyshop?

I was wondering if the Spore Creature Creator is what we are going to use to create our species during the main game, or if this is just used to import creatures into the game, but they won’t be our species (Like the Sims 2 Bodyshop in a sense). I was wondering because on many youtube videos, there is a Spore Creature Editor which looks different from the Creature Creator.
