How do I get power on the sim city creator, best answer gets 10 points?

I got sim city creator for wii for Christmas. I built a city and a powerplant and like 100000000 powerlines but I didn’t get electricity. How do you get electricity? Someone said you have to hook up the powerplant to a house building but how do you do that? Also, once you have the powerplant working will the powerlines work or do you have to somehow hook them up to the powerplant? And how do you get water to work?
Does the dazzle video creator work for the Nintendo Wii?
