What is the best software to use for making graphics for my website and e-book covers?

Hi, how is everyone? I’m starting my own business and it’s an online publishing company.
This is my first time doing a website but I do have a host and got some pages, the only thing is I want to do my own graphics for the website and also create my own e-book covers. I need some major help and would very much appreciate it. Thank you and have a great day.

Are you a graphic artist? If you are, you can use GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/ ). If you aren’t, hire one.

adobe illustrator and photoshop are the most widely used pieces of software for creating graphics for use in nearly any application.

You need to do all graphics in a vectored format so resizing will not cause you pixelation problems:

Free – (Very good for vectored graphics)

    Want others:

    FREE software (No Animation):
    (Very user friendly)
    GetPaint.net Plug-ins:
    (Animation included)
    Blender for Dummies (PDF) Download:

    UnFreeze: (Animation)

    Pivot Stickfigure Animator (freeware):
