What should I say to the creator of a homophobic Facebook group from my school?

The group’s description says, “Why would anybody want to be ***? Everybody should be against it.” Of course, the creator of the group has freedom of speech, but I think of this group as an attack against me and other *** students. Our school already has a problem with homophobic bullying, and 200 people joining this group is not going to help anything.

What should I say to the guy who created it?

Tell him its offensive and you would like it to take it down. He probably won’t but like you said theres little else you can do, especially with that kind of support.

Make your own group saying “Why want anybody want to be homophobic/ (or put his name here)”.

    Yay for retaliation…

Say that he’s nuts because people like this are tring to make it so that children think it’s ok to believe in *** marriage and that its a swear if you say it.

  3. Jen Says:

.Maybe you should start a Facebook group that is called “Why would anyone **** *** people, it’s a proven fact that individuals who are blatantly homophobic are *** themselves” Okay you don’t have to make it that long, but you get my point. Maybe if you make a group that rallies behind the GLBT kids at your school you could make a difference, or at the very least make them feel like they have support.

I think you should tell your school because it’s promoting hatred, division and bullying.

  5. Boom Boom Boy Says:

You should tell your school. And also, if a group of parents of LGBT kids complain to the principle together, you might be able to get the kid who started it expelled. Especially if the parent’s threaten to go to the media, or sue the school for discrimination.
