What would you rather have an ipad or an ebook reader?

When the ebook came out I was looking forward to get it because I love to read and I am running out of space to get my books. But then the Ipad came out it is 200 dollars more but is more like a personal computer and you can still get books what would you want?
also why would you want that one?

I got iPad and love it.

Reading is charm on it plus I can anytime tap on the word to know the meaning or annotation.

Besides, it has iPad version of iWork which let’s me create all MS Office files like PowerPoint presentation, excel spreadsheet and Word document.

Not only that it also lets me upload my work to every WebDAV server simultaneously with one or two taps which takes long time and many clicks on a computer.

I can connect my iPad to projector to show my presentation.

Besides iBooks store I can get books from many other sites on iPad which is a biggest advantage of owning an iPad. If I like kindle price , I can read and purchase books using Kindle app on iPad. Apart from B&N Kindle and iBooks , there are many other apps that has amazing books with interesting graphics. Many has even embedded videos.

iPad makes books reading very interesting. And it adds immense values to fiction as well as non fiction books.

iPads are one stop solution for all my needs. I can do official work and join meeting remotely on it, I can create documents , play top notch 3D games, read books, read reference books and use the quotes as reference in my work. Watch movies wherever I want for free , watch sports live, watch TV shows for free.

Web browsing is out of this world. I can split the screen and browse two sites side by side at the same time. I can even browse on one side and on the other side open calculator, unit converter or something else.

If you put Apple case on it,typing on iPad becomes truly enjoyable and I can type on it as fast as I do on regular laptop.

I love iPad so much that I am can’t imagine my life without it. I don’t watch TV now I save time by watching all of my favorite shows and news on iPad at my convenience.

iPad saves lot of time for me.

If it is for reading purpose, you should definitely get an ebook reader like Amazon Kindle. iPad isn’t good for reading, and there isn’t good selection of books for it right now.

I’ve given a detailed review for comparison between the iPad and the Kindle in a previous answer here, guess you’ll be interested:

Is there even a competition? iPad is better hands down.

    @Natural
You said iBooks doesn’t have many books. Are you ok? Don’t you know even kindle is available on iPad? And kindle on iPad looks much better than real kindle device.

iPad also has many books as independent app and they will blow your mind by stunning presentation.

For reading use, I think you should definitely go for the Kindle instead of iPad. iBookStore is too unmature at this moment. And there has been many users complaining that if you look into the screen of iPad for reading over an hour, your eyes will get very tired because of the backlight.

There are some good user reviews and comparison of different models of the Kindle here:

    Hope this helps your decision.

  6. REEDS Says:

iPad is the right choice. Reading is charm on it simply because of it’s IPS technology. And iBooks store is amazing it has great variety of books and adding more books everyday.

And in case you want amazon book store no problem. iPad has amazing kindle app that gives you access to all your kindle books plus you can buy any book that are available in amazon book store.

So even if you are fan of kindle , you should get iPad.

B&N bookstore and many other books store are available on iPad.

iPad has no competition it rules.

I won’t recommend you to use iPad as ebook reader. The Kindle must be better on this.

Not sure if it helps, but there are some very good actual user opinions here about the iPad and the Kindle:

i really want an ipad rather than ebook.
Ipad nearly can be considered as a portable computer for not only the ibook but the strong media fuction like playing HD video.

Buy one you will enjoy more .that’s my idea
