Where can I get a free high quality gif creator for Mac?

Where can I download a free gif creator that produces the max high quality gifs for Mac. I’ve tried GIFfun, but the quality of it is bad. I am taking pictures of my desktop and my Mac DVD Player using a downloaded application called “capture me”.
